This week Kelly exposited Hebrews 11:1-12:2 and shared a Biblical Truth that “if we have faith in Jesus and his promises for the future we will endure despite the cost.” Check it out.

The BIG IDEA for week 12 in ‘Anchor of the Soul’ was, “Because of the grace of God in the work of Christ, our Great High Priest, we are motivated to faith, hope, and love.”

Jesus has done away with the sacrificial system through the tabernacle and has made a way by one sacrifice (his body — his life) once and for all sanctifying those who believe for all time!

For Easter Sunday we stayed in Hebrews and learned, “we are more sinful and flawed than we ever dared believe, BUT, through Christ’s sacrifice and blood, we are more accepted and loved than you ever dared hope.”

This week Kelly exposited Hebrews 8 shared the Biblical Truth that “since Jesus is a more excellent priest, His new covenant makes better promises to us.” Take a listen.

The preacher has been hinting at this over the last few chapters, but we’re finally expounding upon the BIG IDEA that “the only worthy priest who is able to secure eternal salvation for us is Jesus.“

The BIG IDEA for this week was: “God's sure promise increases our trust and patience, which then increases our commitment to Him.” Give it a listen as we dive deeper into Hebrews.

This week’s text was particularly challenging. But the warning the preacher issues is vital. We absolutely must not miss the call to both radical grace and radical obedience to Christ.

In Hebrews 4:14-5:10, we find a BIG IDEA that “because Jesus is both our mediator and co-sufferer, we can hold fast to his gospel and draw near to him.“
