Elect Exiles

We’re in a brand new series called ‘Stand Firm” where we’ll be doing a deep dive into the Books of 1 & 2 Peter. For Week 1 we explored the theme of ‘Elect Exiles’ in 1 Peter 1:1-2. Peter sets up his weighty excursus with an equally weighty greeting, saying, “Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who are elect exiles of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.” Give the sermon a listen and we hope to see you this week at a Family Meal and/or a DNA group to dive even deeper.
