Psalm 2 teaches us that all challenges to the reign of King Jesus will fail, that the promises concerning the reign of King Jesus will come to pass, and that if we submit to the reign of King Jesus we will be blessed.

For Week 1 in our Summer in the Psalms, Kelly took us through Psalm 1 and gave us a Biblical Truth that ‘meditating on the truth of Scripture leads to a flourishing life.’

For Part 2 of ‘A Colony of Heaven’ (a dive into the final Chapter of Hebrews), we explored a good, right, necessary, and challenging idea of submitting to the leaders of the church. Give it a listen.

The BIG IDEA this week was: “Disciples of Jesus are joyously and consistently growing into his Kingdom ethic which serves as their worship to God and witness to His creation.”

Our Big Idea this week comes straight from the text… “Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,…”

The BIG IDEA for week 12 in ‘Anchor of the Soul’ was, “Because of the grace of God in the work of Christ, our Great High Priest, we are motivated to faith, hope, and love.”

Jesus has done away with the sacrificial system through the tabernacle and has made a way by one sacrifice (his body — his life) once and for all sanctifying those who believe for all time!
