All Church Events — March
LIVING THROUGH DYING
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are at the very heart of Christianity. The good news of the gospel is that God has acted in history to conquer evil and reconcile sinners to himself through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Lent is first and foremost about the gospel making its way deeper into our lives. Lent is a season of preparation and repentance during which we anticipate the death (Good Friday) and resurrection (Easter Sunday) of Jesus. It is this very preparation and repentance—aimed at grasping the intense significance of the crucifixion—that give us a deep and powerful longing for the resurrection, the joy of Easter.
We’re also asking all of our MCs to seriously consider fasting together one day of the week (the day of their Family Meal). Read more about that here and what we’re doing individually and corporately through the Lenten season.
FIRST FEASTS
First Feasts are an exciting new rhythm for The Parish Church. We’ll gather every First Sunday of the Month after the Gathering for food, fun, and fellowship (b/c every great church event has alliteration). Everyone/anyone is invited regardless of their connection to The Parish Church. The grill will be hot so feel free to bring meats or veggies to put on or bring a side dish and/or drinks.
Our first ‘First Feasts’ will be on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Walk on over to Bryan and Jadon’s house (1446 Dandelion Way) after the Gathering or swing by after you pick up some food.
Family Member Meeting
We’ll have one of our quarterly Family Member meetings after the Gathering on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Family Member Meetings are an important rhythm for The Parish Church. Because of our ongoing commitment to everyone being discipled and everyone discipling, these meetings will be an important component to achieving that. Our aim is to celebrate what the Lord has been doing, fellowship together, and bring ministry updates/needs before you all for both input and exhortation. Please RSVP at the button below.
