CLD – Foundations In Bible

WHAT?

Western’s Center for Leadership Development (CLD) is designed to help equip the church to equip the saints for the work of ministry. With ‘Certificate’ offerings ranging from the Bible to Leadership to Faith & Work, there’s a myriad of opportunities to dive deeper into your spiritual formation. The Parish Church and Refuge Christian Fellowship are teaming up to bring a ‘value added’ cohort-style offering to the CLD to the North Bay.

This ‘semester’ we’ll be walking through the “Foundations In Bible” Certificate. Whether you’re just beginning your journey through the Bible, or you’ve made it many times, reviewing the “road map” can be a must-do exercise. This certificate serves as an invaluable guide for that review. You’ll learn how the English Bible fits together, the big story that fills the pages of Scripture, secrets to effectively learning from the Bible’s pages and how God’s big plan touches us now and forever. It’s essential . . . it’s life-changing.

WHEN?

Registration is officially open as of February 13 and we will being the courses starting March 2. But don’t worry if you’re late to the party, we can still get you registered.

HOW?

Each Certificate is self-paced and involves roughly 12 hours of video content from Western faculty and staff. Upon registering, we’ll follow up and get you unique login credentials to Pathwright (the CLD’s online classroom environment) that will give you access to course content and materials. From there, you set the time/pace that you’re able to give to it.

Along the way, we’ll be offering cohort meetups that will allow you to gather with fellow CLD participants and engage with pastors/leaders on the content that you’ve been learning. Right now, the first two meetups are scheduled for:

  • Friday, March 20 from 7-9 PM at Refuge Christian Fellowship

  • Friday, April 24 from 7-9 PM at Refuge Christian Fellowship
