STORIES: The Joneses

Every pastor prays for families like the Joneses. They are salt-of-the-earth people who have an obvious love and trust in Christ and His Kingdom and are wholly committed to His local church in ways that transcend the norm. Josh and Liz will be a part of the first crop of deacons with The Parish Church and we’re preparing them and a group of folks that live in Rohnert Park to plant a Missional Community there.

We asked Liz to give us a short paragraph about what their time with The Parish Church has meant to them. Here are her words:

My family and I joined The Parish Church in spring of 2019. We had been in San Francisco learning about a model of church geared around houses and local communities, but we knew it was time to establish our family in the area in which we lived, Sonoma County. Some friends encouraged us to meet Daniel and Jess, the family who planted The Parish Church. We quickly discovered they had the same heart to reach the community and to live as Christians in community together. Our teenage kids quickly felt connected to people of all ages in the church, and we have seen growth in our whole family as well as new open doors in our neighborhood. We are thankful for the leadership and every member of this church family as we do life together and work side by side to shine the testimony of Jesus in our city.
