Psalm 4

Like 2019, we’re spending the Summer in the Psalms for 2021. This time we’ll be going through them sequentially which will give us a unique perspective into the ‘Poetry’ genre of the Scriptures.

For Week 4, Daniel took us through Psalm 4 where we said that those who have genuinely laid hold of God’s steadfast love by relying on his righteousness, not their own, have joy and trust that God will answer them. Psalm 4 may very well follow on the heels of Psalm 3 where David is in the trenches of being dethroned and pursued by his son, Absalom, and his army. Instead of David defending his own reputation and relying on his righteousness, he relies on the righteousness of God.
